Uh, I still haven’t completed BOTW (cuz I’m not ready for it to end) so I don’t think this is what actually happens. But for a while there I felt like it was kinda implied that “freeing” Zelda was gonna mean something different. I can’t help imagining the guilt and how devastating this would be to Link after he fought so hard.
